DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM !!!!! Aug 24, 2010 I worked outside in the rain on August 21st, Saturday, for the Browns Game here in Cleveland, Ohio. It poured that day for hours. After working, my boots were soaked and that night I plugged in my DryGuy Circulator Footwear Dryer for the first time. I followed the simple directions and made sure that the unit was working. It did produce a small amount of heat, but NOT enough to dry my boots. I had to work again 24 hours later, and my boots were NOT even 10% dryerer after 24 hours of using the DryGuy Dryer. It was totally useless. I left the DryGuy Dryer in my boots Until Wednesday August 24th (Today) and my boots were still damp. They basically dryed on their own, NOT with the help of the DryGuy Dryer.
I never would have bought this unit, if I had not stepped on and accidentally broke my PEET shoe dryer. I wanted a more compact dryer, but this purchase was a total waste of money. My PEET shoe dryer was absolutely great at drying my boots and gloves within 8 hours. I will be ordering another PEET shoe dryer right now, after I post this review. My PEET shoe dryer worked GREAT for many years with 100% satisfaction until I stepped on it.
I have also contacted Amazon to get information on how to get a full refund. I will post an addition to this review if I have any problems with receiving a refund. Please do not waste you money on this item.
works Jul 20, 2010 I would rate myself as an advanced-intermediate snowboarder.
I like these boot warmers. I take them whenever I snowboard now and I use them every night whether or not my boots are wet. They definitely speed up the drying of my boots, but when my boots are really soaked it takes all night for them to dry, even with the dryer/warmer. They do not get so hot that I fear they will damage the boots. But by far and the best thing about them is the warm boots in the morning! I have been skiing and snowboarding all my life, frequently in ridiculously harsh conditions, and frequently backcountry trips. So it's not like I'm a beginner or afraid of bad conditions. But it is hard to describe how nice it feels to slip on toasty warm boots. I could live without these, but they are definitely nice to have.
The only con is the drying power is pretty umimpressive--like I said if my boots are really soaked there is a chance they won't dry 100% overnight, and I don't think I could dry two pairs of moist boots with a single device overnight.
Not recommended Feb 11, 2010 The dryer does its job, but it started to deform just after the 2nd use. The plastic lost its shape. The dryer is still functional, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Works for me Feb 05, 2010 I really like this product. Although it takes much longer than the one hour mentioned, they are very effective. It's great having warm and dry winter boots every day for work. Very satisfied.

Not a dryer at all! Mar 18, 2009 If you can imagine the smell of a burnt circiut board and dead fish then you can imagine owning these! I was afraid they were going to catch my new $300 boots on fire, whaaaaaat!!!!!
